Immigration Bill
“I’d rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University.”

President Bush attacked opponents of an immigration deal Tuesday, suggesting they “don’t want to do what’s right for America.” “The fundamental question is, will elected officials have the courage necessary to put a comprehensive immigration plan in place,” Bush said against a backdrop of a huge American flag. He described his proposal—which has been agreed to by a bipartisan group of senators—as one that “makes it more likely we can enforce our border—and at the same time uphold the great immigrant tradition of the United States of America.”“A lot of Americans are skeptical about immigration reform, primarily because they don’t think the government can fix the problems,” Bush said. “Those determined to find fault with this bill will always be able to look at a narrow slice of it and find something they don’t like,” the president said. “If you want to kill the bill, if you don’t want to do what’s right for America, you can pick one little aspect out of it.
You really have to concentrate on being stupid to be this stupid. It would be impossible to accomplish this without assistance. You would need a cabinet.
Sure Bush was educated at Yale and Harvard, but that does not guarantee intelligence. I could fill pages with people with degrees from Ivy League universities who are stupid.
Never assume that education will render someone intelligent; never assume someone that is intelligent has common sense; never assume someone without a formal education lacks intelligence or common sense.
Just because an educator can embed information and facts inside someone’s head and that person in turn can duplicate it on a test, does not mean they have the cognitive capability to assimilate the information into anything remotely intelligent, useful or functional.
I have to assume Bush either did not read the bill that the Senate is currently debating or was incapable of reading and comprehending it’s meaning. Maybe there weren’t enough pictures in it. The bill is one of the absolute worst pieces of legislation to be debated in Congress.
I could break Bush’s statements down but the stupidity is self declamatory.
